The chamber will be filled with compressed air, and once it reaches its full size, pressurization will begin. As the pressure increases, you may feel a change in pressure in your ears, but other than that, the process should be unnoticeable. To equalize the pressure and relieve any ear fullness, you can clear your ears by swallowing, yawning, or chewing gum or food. During pressurization, your mouth may become dry, but once the chamber reaches full pressure, normal salivation will resume. The chamber may also become slightly warm during pressurization, but once it reaches the desired pressure, relief valves will release the warmer air.
